Tong Meng Furniture Construction is one of Singapore’s most trusted pioneers in preschool furniture manufacturing. We have over 30 years of experience in custom-making a wide variety of children's furniture, from functional tables, chairs and storage, to stimulating playgrounds and playsets.

Tong Meng was founded by Mr. Loh Cheng Hua in 1989. Back then, he noticed how underserved the preschool market was. He believed that children, like adults, need access to quality furniture — and that was what got him started.
Today, Mr. Loh and his team of talented craftsmen remain committed to delivering high quality furniture to our preschoolers. Every one of our product is manufacture right here in Singapore. That's how we maintain our quality and affordability. And the reason why our customers return for many years running.

Designing furniture for children is vastly different from designing for adults. Children are naturally curious, active and playful. Over the years, we’ve watched how they play and interact with our pieces.
These are valuable insights that we translate into practical designs that meet the needs and ergonomics of our little masters. We want our furniture to spark imagination, encourage play, develop fine-motor and social skills, and even withstand abuse — all while ensuring that safety and quality is never compromised.
MATERIALS THAT CARE FOR THE KIDS
We know how sensitive children are, which is why we’re especially selective when it comes to materials we work with. Most of our furniture is made with natural plywood topped with colourful laminates for a playful finish. These are hardy materials that are durable, easy-to-clean, and 100% safe — even for those who love to munch on their little fingers!
